Hello folks. This week I sit down with Danny Rivera, a Paramedic for a fire company in Suffolk County, to talk about what it is like being the tip of the spear of the COVID-19 response on Long Island. Danny talks about what he is seeing on his ambulance calls, how his job has changed with the arrival of the pandemic, and what is going on in the Emergency Rooms of hospitals who are dealing with an unprecedented wave of COVID-19 patients. It's a good talk and I think you're going to love it.

Howdy Folks! This week I sit down with Democratic Congressional Candidate Melanie D'Arrigo who is challenging Tom Suozzi for his seat in NY's 3rd District, of which Oyster Bay is a part. Melanie and I discuss the challenges of running a campaign as a progressive candidate in a moderate district, as well as her position on the hot-button issues of the day, from Medicare For All, to Immigration, to the Second Amendment. There's some real thought-provoking stuff in there.

I realize this talk may be a little "blue" for Oyster Bay, but give it a try. I keep asking Republicans to come on the podcast, but they seem very shy. Hello Oyster Bay! This week I sit down with Josh Lafazan, the young, energetic Nassau County legislator representing the 18th District, which includes the hamlet of Oyster Bay.

Over the course of a 40 minute conversation, Josh and I discuss his meteoric rise in Nassau County politics, what it means to govern as an Independent in a world of increasingly divisive partisan rhetoric, the challenges of being the only millennial in the Nassau County legislature, his view of the political landscape and what he's been working on lately.
